    I had been wanting this windchime for about two years after I saw it in an art gallery/shop. I checked for it online and purchased it. I am so thrilled to have it! It is artistically beautiful, and it takes very little sunlight to activate. It can be moved as close to or as far away from sunlight for the desired effect. I keep mine where it gets just enough sun to tinkle intermittently. I just love the occasional sound of windchimes throughout my house during the day. I showed it to my niece, and she wants one very badly now! It will make a great gift to all windchime lovers, and don't forget to get one for yourself!! :-)

    I purchased this product to replace a window sticker solar chime. The sound is not pleasant and would definitely be enhanced by smaller tubes with a higher pitch. I should have purchased the smaller version. Since I have this unit in a sunroom, it is not possible to use it without blocking 90% of the cell (which is quite powerful).. or the sound would be more than annoying. I have attempted to change out the striker, but getting the balance is a challenge. The product is as stated, and the chime noise isn't bad if you have it placed in an area that has less sun than mine. I definitely would have benefited from the smaller, more petite sounding model.

      My mother-in-law had a chime like this that everyone wanted. I found this one for my husband as a gift & he was delighted. I was concerned that we would not have a place that would give sufficient light, but it does not require much to make it chime. Some chimes can be abrasive but this has a soothing sound. It was very easy to put together. If you like chimes this is a very nice addition to your home.
