I have placed this chime above my kitchen cabinets. I hear it early in the morning especially with the sun comes in the window. I was visiting a neighbor and heard this sweet sound and just had to have it. I am so glad I made this purchase.

I purchased this product to replace a window sticker solar chime. The sound is not pleasant and would definitely be enhanced by smaller tubes with a higher pitch. I should have purchased the smaller version. Since I have this unit in a sunroom, it is not possible to use it without blocking 90% of the cell (which is quite powerful).. or the sound would be more than annoying. I have attempted to change out the striker, but getting the balance is a challenge. The product is as stated, and the chime noise isn't bad if you have it placed in an area that has less sun than mine. I definitely would have benefited from the smaller, more petite sounding model.
