The product is an attractive design and is very well constructed. Calling any part of this a "chime", which denotes something that produces a sound, is a misnomer, at best. The mobile is VERY VERY prone to being tangled and snarled. Where I wanted to put the mobile just didn't work, unless I wanted to make a committment to dragging out a ladder every day and untangling the dragonflies. If you buy it, plan on putting it where you can easily reach it, as well as making the committment to having to perform "maintenance" on the mobile. It's pretty, but its WORK.

It was a gift for my sister-in-law and she loved it. It was definitely something fun to have for decoration purpose, but if you are looking for an actual wind chime, it is not for you because it doesn't make sound. I didn't like black strings. They looked like thin hair tie elastics.
