Description

Each piece of the Asli Arts Angel Capiz 30 in. Wind Chime is hand-sorted in Bali, dried, sliced, shaped, sanded, and dyed to create a one-of-a-kind work of art for you. Skilled craftsmen then string the capiz together with invisible nylon cord. Though every part of this product is weather-protected, we recommend a few simple maintenance tips to keep it looking its best for years to come. Simply apply a thin layer of Danish or lemon oil to hardwood parts periodically. Regular application of oil will slow down the natural aging process of wood. Mild soap and water clean the capiz.

      This past September my husband passed away. Our children and I surrounded him has he took his last breath. At that very moment a gust of wind (on an otherwise still night) could be heard that caused the wind chimes on my patio to tinkle and chime. Immediately after he died the air grew quiet and still again. We believe that the Holy Spirit arrived to lift his soul to heaven. Because of that very special moment I ordered the wind chime with the carved wood angel for each of our kids for Christmas. I wrote a note to them and now 5 patios are graced with the beautiful sound of capiz shells and an angel to remind us of the extraordinary man who left us in the wee hours of that September morning.
