I thought the planet in the center was colored and was surprised that it was clear. Picture was a little misleading. I got this on sale, so I am happy with the purchase, but would not have paid full price for it. It is pretty to watch, however, am just a little disappointed about the clear planet.

after onlt two weeks in the garden the spinner has started to rust here on the gulf coast. That does not affect the product, just doesn't keep it's shine even after waxing it as suggested.

Looking at the catalog photo, I thought that the crystal was colored, or perhaps I just got a clear one in my order, but not to bother, it appears to be well constructed, it's a replacement for one that wasn't well constructed.
